Mr. Knowles made photocopies from microfilm or paper clippings of articles in the Allentown Messenger newspaper. All but one of these date from 1903-5, when Albert Robinson, principal and "professor" at Allentown's Borough or High School, published a six-part series, "Voices from ye Olden Time."
